The festival of Onam is celebrated on the full moon day in the holy month of Shravan. So
Onam is termed as Sravanotsavam or Sravanmahotsav. Onam 2011 is on 09 September, Monday. Celebrations start 10 days before Thiru Onam, on Atham.
